Already behind, lol. Couldn’t pick just one today – here are my sleeping babies. The oldest AND the youngest, I am still so amazed at how much they look alike.

Already behind, lol. Couldn’t pick just one today – here are my sleeping babies. The oldest AND the youngest, I am still so amazed at how much they look alike.
Perhaps this will force me to blog more…well upload pictures of the kids anyway, lol. So…here is my favorite picture from this past week. I know its a little blurred/blown out (I was to close when I took the shot) but I LOVE this. Baby girl has recently started giving big hugs and kisses out of the blue, so … here she is, giving her nanny big huggies at ds’ basketball game on Saturday…
and I will….as soon as I catch a break from the holiday madness. Enjoy the time with your families. Honestly, fall sports began and I dropped the ball on blogging. So much has happened and our lives are uber busy so the last thing that I have/had time for is blogging. I check emails and respond on facebook and that is about it. I didn’t get a chance to do baby girls 9 month update. Not sure why I skipped that???? but she is 10 MONTHS OLD now. Walking all over the place. Finally cut a tooth through the w/end of Sept 7th, and the 2nd one wasn’t far behind. Once she got the hang of walking she decided that she likes it better and walks instead of crawls everywhere now. She is climbing on everything that she can get up on and on some things that she shouldn’t be…hehe. At her 9 month appt (Sept 2) she was 17#9 oz and 27″???? (I can’t remember that exact measurement) but I know she is a shortie. Her pediatrician was thrilled with her of course and says that she is/was doing things already that a one year old can do. She is clapping and saying “yay” and her other favorite word is “mamamama” — thrills me of course, Shannon…not so much, lol! Lexie is our only baby that loves her mama more than daddy. She literally hangs from me and REFUSES to go to anyone else when I am here. She started going to daycare a few weeks ago and seems to do well with it. Of course Mel “steals” her out of the baby room and takes her to “visit” the preschoolers so that is a bit of a break I guess and she is fascinated with little babies her age. I think she didn’t realize that other little people exist, lol. Will update more in a bit on the other kids. Little one is up and time to nurse. Many milestones to speak of today. (well its really tomorrow Aug 27…but I haven’t went to bed yet so IMO it’s still Aug. 26th). Baby girl decided to officially walk today, she is getting braver and braver and has finally started leaving the relative security of the edge of the couch. She has been letting go and taking a step here and there but tonight…tonight, she decided to take 5 or 6. Of course I didn’t get it caught on video because she has decided that <->destroying-> playing is more important. My first baby girl turned teen today, sigh…where oh where does their babyhood go? We took her out to dinner tonight and got her some accessories for her ipod. Pool saturday if it is nice out. I can’t believe that its been THIRTEEN years since I became mommy to “my little girl”. She tried to break her ankle yesterday jumping out of g/mas truck. Shannon took her down to the therapist to see if it was broken but they couldn’t really tell without an x-ray. Looks nasty today, all swollen and black/blue. But she of course (in the name of vanity) refused to leave to wrap on so she could wear her new Pumas to school, lol. Kayleigh started middle school today and seemed to enjoy her day. Emalee moved to “my end” of the hall at school (aka the 3-5 wing) and got a LOCKER of her very own. She is my last “baby” at school until Lex gets there of course but that is still a while off. I cannot believe that they are getting so old, and so quickly. The boy didn’t have school today because he is officially an upperclassman. The freshmen only had school and he will start tomorrow. Opening game starts Friday night. So fall kickoff, we have arrived!!!! Have to go back to work tomorrow. Can you see the tears? I have a training at school for most of the day and then practice tomorrow evening. We (as in all staff) go back for good on Friday. Who the heck decided to “start” a work week on Friday? School officially starts next Wed. and football season right along with. The 1st game of the season is a short 12 days away. Ack! Boys had a scrimage yesterday and did well. We all got fried of course because it was hotter than hades out. But it was awesome watching the “show” they put on. Lets GOOOOOOO Warriors! I keep getting pingbacks and spam comments that I have to “moderate” here on the site. It’s a pain in the ass and very annoying. Please do not spam me, I don’t wanna’ deal with it. And on that note, if you are visiting would you please comment so I know you were here. Sometimes I think I’m talking to myself. So on that note…. We didn’t get much done yesterday, I went to a cheer clinic with the girls and Britt showed them some new cheers that I am very excited about. I’m annoyed that several of my former cheerleaders chose to pursue other avenues for fall sports this season, but we shall work with what we have and they are dedicated so that is something right? I can honestly say that I am very proud of those girls and consider them to be very brave! Ain’t NO WAY I would’ve gotten out in front of thousands of ppl at a Friday night ball game and cheered my heart out…esp. when there be only three, lol! NO WAY! But I do admire their dedication to their sport. After that I came home and vegged here for a bit – wished that I could take a nap- haha, but little miss decreed that it wasn’t to be so I stayed up and watched her while daddy TOOK THE NAP! must be a guy thing. Then I made some mac salad and some cucumbers/onions with ranch and we went over to Jen and Rob’s for a while. it was fun…and relaxing…and i am so thankful for good friends (and good food, lol). The older kids didn’t go cause’ they determined that “camping” with grandma and cousin Becca was more exciting. C&C were disappointed but Shannon and I were happy to get away for a little while without all 5 of them, haha! Lexie did go with us, but then again, its rare that we go somewhere without her. We slept til’ nearly 11 this morning and I’m actually STILL in my jammies sitting here. I would like to rearrange the closets today and get a few things done around the house but I’m not sure if that will happen. Will depend on just HOW clingy little miss is for the remainder of the day. The kids are at a church picnic/swim so I don’t have to referree, haha! Baby girl got her ears pierced today. She did well and barely cried (might’ve been the sucker the jeweler bribed her with, lol). Anyway…I was the one that hd to get over “hurting”my baby so I finally just sucked it up and did it! And I’m so happy we did, she looks even more adorable (is that possible?) than before. Pics 2 come. Baby girl finally conked out and the boy is upstairs asleep. S just went to bed and the girls are sleeping in the camper. Me? here I sit, typing away but should be working on financial aid forms for grad school. I’d forgotten how draining all day practices can be so I’m wiped but still have stuff to get done before we head out to do it all over again tomorrow. Emalee is enjoying practice- she is on day two and loving it. She is such a cheerleader, lol! The other girls are just waiting it out til’ soccer starts and the boy is, of course, playing football. We woke up this morning to yet another busted pipe under the house and no water to boot. Grrrr! We did get it fixed this evening, but blah! for bad plumbing…well…ok old plumbing that is in desperate need of being replaced. ha! |
